Weekend Real Estate Investor

Read my true story of how I got started in real estate. My successes and failures, my ups and downs. Now is the best time to make money in real estate and YOU can do it!

How I made money in real estate on the weekends while I worked a 40-60 hour a week job. Anybody can do it and this is the best time to start. I will outline how I did it. You will be given the information and links you need to get started just like I did. Set aside a couple of hours on the weekend to start learning how to be a real estate investor. If you already have a house then you have already done the first step. I congratulate you for making the decision to be a home owner and an investor. The hardest step to make is your first.

I believe we need to start at the very beginning wither you have bought several houses or getting ready to make your first purchase. The journey that I will take you on will consist of 38 years of my life from the time I  set my first goal to accumulate $1,000,000 in real estate at the age of 18 all the way to the present. There were years of great success along the way but there were also years where I lost my focus and discipline and accomplished nothing. You need to start your own journey now. Make up your mind set your goals and you too can become a weekend real estate investor.

This website will have all the free information that you will need to get started investing in houses. Starting with your 1st house

Getting Started-Set Your Goals-The most important step! Then educate yourself. Go to the local library or book store and find some starter books on real estate. If you do not have a house find a book with a title like My First Houseor I have provided an Education Link Page that takes you to other web sites that may help you along the way.

1. My first house          Your first House
a. Things you may need before and while looking for that 1st house. I recommend a couple of books a tape measure and a flashlight.

2. My second House     Your second house

3. My third House         Your third house

4. My forth House....   Your forth house....

There are two ways that I know of to find real estate foreclosures.

1. Government Insured Mortgages:
The way I have done it most of my life was to search each individual government agency and banks and mortgage companies that have government backed loans. I am referring to HUD ( Housing and Urban Development) Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and VA (Veterans Administration)  which guarantees that the loans would be paid back by the home owner.

2. Bank and Investor owned mortgages:

There are three companies that offer free foreclosure listings for 7 days. I suggest you try all three of them for free and if you like one of them then sign up for a month or two.
